Just stumbled upon some great new songs thanks to y-rock on XPN. If you are from or live near the Philly-area you know 88.5 XPN is the place where life-altering music resides. A short list of the songs I enjoyed from their weekly 11 picks: (if you have itunes open, you can preview the songs from the link!)
The Underdog - Spoon
The Moneymaker - Rilo Kiley
Missed the Boat - Modest Mouse
All The Things That Go To Make Heaven and Earth- The New Pornographers
Back in Your Head - Tegan and Sara
Tick Tick Boom - The Hives
Tonight I Have to Leave It - Shout Out Louds
Please Please Please - Shout Out Louds
Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors - Editors - My Personal Favorite, sad but incredible
These are from my own collection --->
Starlight - Muse
The Scientist (Live) - Aimee Mann - One of my favorite songs EVER, done beautifully by a talented artist
Sleep - Azure Ray
Adopt these songs as your new favorites, because then you ears will be as blessed as mine are by new acoustic perfection. I have a fascination with new and progressive tracks, don't even ask me why. You wont often find me sticking to golden oldies, something about keeping my life updated, keeps me searching for new music, new artists, new everything. Im just a music whore, i guess its as simple as that.
Ill be sure to put up some poetry as soon as i write anything worthy of this place, and any audience. I am my own worst critic, this is for certain; it can hold me back sometimes. Also, new photos on the way as soon as i find some time to go on a long-overdue photo hunt. Keep Posted. End.

Why Everyone Needs to Vote...Period
Aside from the obvious, we live in a democratically-oriented (not truly democratic) nation, there is one good reason why everyone's opinion being heard will give humanity the best possible outcome: if you average the voices of many you end up with something close to what humanity at large prefers. The logic behind this is based in statistics and one good source for support of the argument is the book:
If every single american is going to be subject to policies decided upon by every single american, then it is pretty much fair. But if every single american is living under policies and leadership decided upon by only 70% or less of the voting-age population, then we are clearly deciding incorrectly, and are possibly choosing policies and leaders that do not represent the opinions and the full possible intelligence of the governed.
Thus, i say it again: Everyone Needs to Vote!
PS - As for the George Carlin argument...stupid people shouldn't vote because they will cancel out my vote, etc. etc... There are far more intelligent people in America, at least, than there are stupid ones who vote, so I (in my infinite wisdom and understanding) choose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone Needs to Vote. End.
The Wisdom of Crowds: Why the Many Are Smarter Than the Few and How Collective Wisdom Shapes Business, Economies, Societies and Nations
"...a diverse collection of independently-deciding individuals is likely to be more representative of the universe of possible outcomes, thereby producing a better prediction."The wikipedia article attached will explain exactly what I am about to say: the sum intelligence and decision making force within all of humanity (assuming of course that we all strive for what is best for us and our families and our country and the Earth) is going to be far better at choosing the correct path than a small number of people, or even an unrepresentative minority or even majority. Unanimity is the true representative amount required for true decision making that reflects the needs and desires of everybody...for that kind of representation you need, in fact, everybody.
